根據不同的擴香基成分與配方比例，擴香的使用壽命也會不同。一般情況下，揮發速度越快的擴香基，發香力越強，同樣的，壽命也較短。不同種類的香料與相同的擴香基混合，環境溫濕度，也可能影響擴香使用時間的長短。

SAGA AROMA LAB 擴香一般情況下使用壽命：

  125ml｜1-2個月

  200ml｜2-3個月

  500ml｜   4個月

1000ml｜   6個月

香氣濃度的控制方式有：1. 精油的添加比例2. 擴香的容量3. 擴香枝的種類、長短和多寡。除此之外，還有一個正重要的香氣濃度控制關鍵：4. 擴香枝（竹）的倒轉頻率。
